Thoughts please...be gentle

Alright...BF% my not be low enough for most people in here, but no real rush to lean out, i don't compete, no plans to do so, and summer is a far piece away.

22
6'3
212lbs

and now for the show....

Bench max is low..somewhere around 260
Squat =405
Dead =365

Up for suggestions, tips, but no flames!

Legs doing well or is there something there to hide? :-)

You are in the same situation I am... I need to drop some of the BF around the waist to make the whole presentation cleaner and bring out the upper body size that is there.

is that what you mean by lat spread...i dunno how to pose....nor do i really care.

umm legs are progressing, pretty strong but not very big. It's not that i'm ashamed just need a tripod or a photographer to get some good shots..these were just quick camera phone shots.

and as far as the bodyfat...ehh it's winter time just concerned with getting as big as possible as fast as i can to give me time to cut before summer..i still do cardio post workout and on off days though just to keep it in check

lol sorry i didn't mean to sound snappy. just saying i'm not familiar with the names of the poses and i know that people like to give tips on how to pose, but it's not really what i'm here for. as far as knowing what the poses are i don't mind learning them, but as far as learning how to do it right would just be a waste of my time.

other than that any thoughts?

yea i'm a little worried to hear their input on it.

as far as back width, yea i know...i was a late bloomer into the realm of working back at all...especially my width. lately though i've been pounding them hard...we'll see how it goes from there.

thanks for the advice...rack chins tonight

what are your goals , if not competing ?
i don't see the need to drop that much BF . you need more muscle and then the fat will go . overall , i can see good biceps / forearms and your delts and back thickness are not to bad either . just keep concentrating on a good diet . that is the most important . and be consistent !!! hope this helps and i also hope that my best friend isn't coming in here again and starts criticizing my comments LOL . that is what he loves to do

I have to agree with Wake. Your bodyfat levels are pretty good especially for someone trying to put on size. I would keep focusing on putting on size, the more muscle you have the less bodyfat

well..i actually wasn't expecting such nice replies...thanks guy.

for the past two years i've been eating relatively healthy, but nowhere near 100% of where i should be. Lately i've been upping my intake while keeping it relatively clean. Anyway, as far as my goals...i haven't really set any specific goals yet, personally in the end i'd like 230-235 around 11-12% body fat. I know you all will probably say that DC isn't the routine for me since my goals are so minuscule compared to most others. Just wanted to get some input from people who actually know what they're talking about and not the wannabe keyboard warriors at bb.com

eating relatively healthy? you mean like quizno's today you fat bastid??!!!?!?

pwnt.

in all seriousness, you're hitting the weights hard, following a solid routine, taking in a good amount of *relatively* clean cal's...now it's just a matter of time. Lucky for you, you've got youth on your side. you know this isn't a fad; it's a life change. keep at it and you'll be a monster. You've certainly got the frame and foundation to surpass your goals. bi's look good...you've been sneaking in some concentration curls haven't you?!?!

hey Dij, put up some more progress pics. You've definitely gotten bigger overall. If I remember, I'll bring you the digi fat caliper so you can get an *idea* of your current BF%.

definitely wanna take some progress pics within the next couple of weeks. I've gotta end my blast soon, my body needs a little break. So i'm thinking the week we have off during xmas break i'll come by and take some pics

gotta get some of the wheels since that's what everyone was asking for on here

I'd focus on delts, all three heads. Lats are also not there (but your poses are funky and makes them look smaller than they probably are). Back thickness is pretty good. Could use some more triceps. Other than that, take some pics from the front, hard to really tell much more from the back.

In all honestly, the best route may be to cut down to 9-10-11% (guess you are more like 15-16% now) then slowly build to where you want to be. I think you'll be much more happy with the way you look even though you'll be 15-20lbs less. Again, that's just my opinion, and I really hate being over 10%, so take that for what it's worth.

thanks for the input...i had more pics up when i first started the thread, but soon after realized i didn't want my face in them so i took them down. lol @ the poses comment, as stated before...i'm not bodybuilder, don't know shit about proper poses and all that jazz so i KNOW i look goofy as shit trying. i've done 1 DC style blast so far, learned alot (especially about how much my body can handle), shot from 205-212/215 (depending on how many dumps i took that day) so i wasn't totally unsuccessful. My lat width is slowly getting better, and i thank intensemuscle and wide grip rack chins for that! Legs have also grown a lot (i say that based on the fact that my pants don't fit the way they used to, and i busted one pair bowling a few weeks ago). As far as cutting to 10 or below, eh, i'll save that for the summer months. All-in-all, thank you for the input, i'm still learning and steadily growing so i'm happy so far! My apologies for my bad grammar.
