supplement questions

Im just wondering what kind of supplements I should be taking. Right now im taking syntha 6 protein, N.O Xplode, and a mulitvitamin. For the most part I take no xplode right before my workout and 46g of protein right after my workout. Any suggestions?

You have the basics w/ your protein but if you want you could add in waxy maize, and bcaa's.

syntha 6 has fats which arent good for the post-workout time period, not to mention the high cost of BSN supps

I'd go with a low fat protein and a carb blend for maximum glycogen restoration

Optimum just came out with a post-workout formula with waxy maize and hydrolyzed whey

Optimum and TP are my two primary sources for supps. Great quality products.

There are hundreds of supplements

I would add extra vitamine C
Invest in a quality vitamine
Taurine
Magnesium and zinc citrate
Creatine Ethyl ester, or any other one on TP

first...i would drop all BSN products as i think supp. lines similar to that are not capable of being trusted (as BSN did just get sued) as theya re in it for the money, not to make a quality product to help you, the bodybuilder.

therefore,

stick to the basics

PROTEIN- Whey Protein Isolate for PWO, maybe a Casein/Miscellar or TEAM Skip formula for slower digestion, or Gemma Protein.

Carbs- Waxy Maize...or Dextrose. pref. WMS.

Supplements- BCAA's, Glutamine, Creatine (mono., ethyl-ester, tri-malate)

others- Fish oils are great and inexpensive, Beta-Alanine is an option worth considering but not a necessity.

Personally, in my opinion, if you aren't rolling in dough and you are going to be spending all of this money on supplements, i think you should be investing most of your money on quality food for yourself.

Check out TP for your next TP order. It will save you tons of money instead of buying BSN stuff. Plus if you use a discount code and order in bulk you get pretty sweet discount.
