Give it to me!

Alright i just wanted to post some pics up and see what yall think and need to improve and do as well as my strengths if any lol.... im pretty sure the common response is going to be more of everything. I want to compete one day but i know i need to fill out my 6'3 frame. Im currently 240 -245 in these photos. BTW i have no idea how to pose. I dont know if its possible but i read about all different body types.... i dont know if you can tell what mine is by looking at these but if you could tell what do you think it is? Basically what do i need to do before i attempt to compete?

age- 21
height- 6'3
weight- 240-245
experiance- 1 solid year of bodybuilding type training... lifting since i was 14 for football/baseballl but nothing real serious.

i can see that you are having a good foundation , and with 21 years of age you got a long way to go and could do really well if you are being consistent and sticking to it .
you have a long way to go though . you can improve pretty much everywhere . most definitely , i see arms , delts , chest >>>>> pretty much upper body needs to thicken up . you are pretty lean , you might want to cut back on cardio and increase your calories to aid in the muscle gaining process .
i am sure that you are having a small waist but your back width is a little behind so that it appears to be wide .
don't get me wrong , you do look great but you wanted opinions and those are mine .
your legs seem to gain pretty good and your overall lower body is probably your better half . just as i said , try to catch up with the upper body .

thanks i couldnt agree with you anymore.... thanks for the constructive critisism!
Your right about the legs.... i cut back a lot on legs and they still seem to grow....... i wish i could say the same for my upper body.
I just want to compete because im gonna have to go on sea duty in a year and half so doing a comp isnt really an option then. But then again i dont want to rush into it and get smoked...

I would agree with this overall assessment. I'll also add that your torso (abs/serratus) are very good. Yes legs are your strong point but I want to say claves seem to be a bit behind on quads.
IMO, take the time to grow some more, even if it means 2-3 yrs. Otherwise you me be disappointed after you diet down as you will wonder where all your muscle went to. I always look at competing as at least a 1 yr plan sometimes longer. In fact I've been taking a 2 year hiatus from comps to grow more myself.

I agree with these guys. At 21 you have time on your side and standing 6'3" means you're going to have a tougher time in BBing simply because of how big you will have to get to compete. I mean, you can def compete the way you are now but you'll have to remember that you'll probably be matching up to guys 4-6" shorter than you, if not shorter.

I'd say aim at growing for another 1-2 years or until you can compete as a SuperHeavy. At your height you may need to be at least 230lbs shredded on stage, at the very least. We had a local compete this weekend that was around 6'4" or so. He was 275lbs on stage and still needed some size.

Good luck man!

thanks guys..... i kinda got my eye on this shows thats this time next year...... i would like to do one before i go on the boat for 4 years and it will be about that time... but then again if its not there (size wise) im not to worried about i got the rest of my life to grow and compete later.... but it would be nice to get one show under my belt before i go to boat wheres theres poor nutrition and straight lack of time to commit a lot of energy into bodybuilding.

thanks exmgp..... i was auctually thinking about it for a while.... try to join the NAVY PL'ing team and then i would just train for the next 4 years and not have to worry about going overseas or anything. I might do a local meet when i get back in late oct to see where i stand. But its it definetly something i would like to try..... as of right now i think i could get close to a 1600 total.

But i still have a lot of catchin up to you man your deads looked crazy! Plus i watched all the other vids of you and they are very motivating,
