I don't like to add a lot of stuff but I basically just add cinamon, splenda, honey(sometimes), my favorite though is mixing in frozen fruit like rapsberries or peaches with some cinnamon and splenda.

This is gonna be a stupid question...

When you say dry, do you mean not cooked, or just plain?

Thanks

I've been eating them raw for a long time now. I grind them on the blender (8-10oz at a time), add some flavored whey, add cold water and mix it on the highest setting. If I drink it fast it all goes down smoothly. I use "quick oats" because they are easier to grind into tiny pieces.

In the morning, blended up in hot water for 1 minute. Then add frozen strawberries and stevia and blend until smooth. Very yummy.

Post workout: instant organic oats blended with protein powder 20 minutes after some waxy maize & creatine.

Cooked in micro with water until soft then add in a can or two of tuna.
Or mixed dry with tuna and raw eggs and then cooked into patties.
Or mixed with water and cooked with chocolate Egg protien added in after for a nice hot chocolate pudding type of thing. Haven't done the pudding for a while but I've not had chocolate egg protein either - - that may be why!

In the micro with water, tip any leftover water out and chuck in a pot of low fat yoghurt.

Cooked in microwave. Add Splenda and protein powder. Put in freezer for about 20 minutes. Tastes almost like a dessert. Top is starting to freeze but the inside is still warm. Well maybe only on a contest diet it tastes like dessert.

Very creative. I might give that a go before I cut out my sweeteners next week.

I usually just grind mine in shakes. Once in a while I get ambitious and try to make a homemade protein bar. I try to not use peanut butter or any heavy fats so its good for a Pro/Carb meal. This tends to make it challenging.

I mix a cup of it with 3-4 egg whites and cinnamon (could add splenda too if desired)..... stir and cook as a pancake

Top it off with SF syrup.

If in contest prep mode and short on time -- I just mix dry oats with a lil water. Fast and easy.

ive been doing this latly and its pretty good... might be good if your bored of your standard way of eating oatmeal

I take 1 cup of instant oats + 2 cups of egg whites + flavoring from TP (i like banana type flavor for these or strawberry) and put them in the microwave untill in pretty well down (still a little runny) then i stir again and put back in for a minute or so (all microwaves are different so i dont want to give out wrong times) . It comes out and takes like bread.... with sweetness.

oats

dieting: 1/2 cup of plain instant oats in 12-16oz of COLD water (let it sit in the fridge for 30-60min) then add choc whey pro, shake up and drink up, great precontest food!!!

non-dieting: 6 packs of sweetened instant oats, 1 golden delicious apple cubbed, handful of raisins or dried crannberries. mixed with water to get desired "soupy" consistancy, then microwaved, then stick in fridge in a tupperware container so it will congeal (get hard and stick together). pull out of fridge for a nice quick snack. will last for several days!!!

enjoy fellas

Pre-Contest......cinnamon, equal, and walden farms sugar free, calorie free, carb free syrup.......which by the way is AMAZING

Off-Season......I still do the above recipe although I have a sassy little pancake recipe thats good too:

6 egg whites
1/2c oatmeal
4 packets equal
1 small banana

Blend together then cook over medium heat-I add walnuts, blueberries, or if I'm feelin' really naughty chocolate chips

1/2 c. old fashioned oats w/cinnamon.
5 egg whites and 1/2c. oat bran w/ a little bit of splenda mixed together like a pancake. Divinci's sugar Free syrup for flavor, just a little. Maybe throw a couple strawberries on top.
Finally, if I'm on the go I'll throw raw oats in the blender with my protein shake. It makes it seem like it's real food because you have to chew the crap out of it.

Offseason:
1 cup dry oats, 2 egg whites, 2 scoops potein powder, and 1 tbs peanut butter. Mix with water until thick and bake like cookies.

Precontest:
Same minus the peanut butter and only 1/2 cup oats, sprinkle splenda on top!
