Coffee Preparation H

It's time to set this myth straight.
Does Preparation H applied backstage to abs and other areas of the skin really tighten those areas by "sucking out" subQ water?

Prep H does pull sub Q water from the skin and provide a tightening effect......to what extent I think varies by individual. I haven't ever applied it backstage though......but a few weeks out I have applied it to some problem areas, and then wrapped them with saran wrap prior to cardio. I honestly didn't see a huge improvement but my thought is-it can't hurt. I've also used thiomucase-same thing, nothing dramatic but worth trying.

I agree with hb. Applying backstage is too late. You won't see a significant difference or even any difference at all. You should start this process a couple weeks before your show. And again, you won't see a HUGE difference, but it may provide you with an edge.

I've used thiomucase b/4, but really can't say if I saw a difference. I would say cardio and diet is the huge piece of the puzzle.

Exclamation

Thanks everyone. I was just wondering. Someone told me at my gym, plus I've heard it before. I just thought I'd find out whether it actually works or whether it's just the thought that it's working that makes it work.

Try it and see if it works.

I just saw your sig. You're doing the Steel City in Pueblo. My husband and I will be judging your show so I need to exit. Come up and say hello after the comp.

Good luck!

It smells bad and needs to be done ahead of time as mentioned above, besides anything you try to smear over your protan will just mess that up.
IMO it's not worth it though.

I know someone (older competitor) who used it for at least a couple mo. 2x/day leading up to a show. The loose skin he'd had in the past - not a problem. Some of this was from starting leaner and getting leaner, but his skin looked better (tighter) than I've ever seen it.

I apply it before tanning. I agreee with most everyone else that judging its effectiveness is difficult but it cant hurt.

I found some generic brand of AB-Solution! I'm going to try that for a little while. I doubt it's going to do much in such short time, but we had some in our house and I thought it wouldn't be a bad thing, even if it does help just a tiny bit.

I have used it and did notice it tightened up some loose skin. I used it 2 weeks out and applied until 2 days out. As stated, once the show is going it's kind of late.

from what i know and i did a little research and try a couple different kinds

first kind of prep h is the newer version with lots of gyeraol and something else which you would start appling about 2 weeks out once in morning. i wasnt very happy with this one. a couple companies market it as different names such a primucase.

second is the older model which was orignally a steroid (not the kind your thinking its legal) made for treating stuff like itchy poison ivy etc... it cotains 1% hyrocortozone or something like that. dont waste your time trying to find anything higher then 1% because aything higher is over the counter. try using on all places you feel have some loosness to them at least 10 days before contest. monitor areas to see which spots it works better with. i liked this one in my core area, claves, triceps/rea delt area, and on brachrallis area. thats me tho. it takes alittle while and does kinda smear tan color so i would put it on when i wake up early the day of the show maybe 4-6hr before pj. prep h makes a kind with a red label and if you look in the poison ivyish anti itch section hyrocrtoizone -10 make a kind and i even found an anti-itch hyrocortizone 12 hour forumla i liked.

OK almost everyone here has said they hardly noticed a differance.....right?

I have heard with my own ears Shawn Ray and Bob Chick talk about how they told someguy to use it in the late 80s as a joke and it snowballed from there. Kind of like Arnold telling the guy "You have to scream real loud when you pose" in Pumping Iron.

So I hate to say it but I think you are wasting your time. That Thimocase or what ever it is used to work I am told but the real stuff was made in France and was pulled from the American market. The stuff now is just to profit off the old name ....like when they make supplement names that SOUND like steroid names.

I am no "expert" but I have been competing steadily since 1980. I have seen a lot of the MYTHS from thier birth.

I agree even though cardio sucks the only way to getting completely shreeded is through diet and adequate cardio(meaning enough but not overboard)

Use the Prep H GEL. Make sure it's the gel. The other contains shellfish that makes you smell.
