Haha, I am the funny guy, hahaha.

That next one is too much of a back raise to start.

I posted a couple of other videos of some ghr's as well on youtube, I can prolly extend out a little more than I did in the video's though.

those ones layne are doing aren't on a GHR machine...I don't have access to one either...are the ones layne are doing sufficient? I find alot of pressure on my knee caps when I do them like layne is doing them

I would say the way Layne does them is sufficient. I think the way he does them is much harder than on a machine. I know what you mean about the pressure on the knee caps, try using a higher bench, that should divert more of the pressure onto your quads.

I'm in the same situation. I'm trying to find a way to improvise them.

I did them like that for about 3 weeks and had to take 2 weeks off because my knees hurt so bad. I just decided to keep bugging the gym manager to get a GHR and forego them for now.

I do them in the same fashion as Layne but on a sit up bench. This means I don't go below 'parallel' but it still works like a charm

You can actually get away with parking a BB against any wall with 35's or 45's on it, and place ankles under that. Finally a use for that round the bar pad I hate so much.
