You're looking good.
I like the third pic the most (back double biceps). Your arms are good especially your triceps, also with big and round delts. I'd like to see the wheels, but you seem to have solid glutes. It'd cool to see how you'd look a little bit leaner. I say this from the pics, so I can be wrong, but if you had to improve something, IMO you could focus a bit on chest and biceps and maybe some traps. I'm NOT saying there are lacks here, just for overall harmony. :-) Anyway, I wish you best of luck for your upcoming natural shows.

your back has some great detail. i have to agree that one of your main flaws is your traps. this is totally off subject, but that looks like some wicked ink you have on your arm. good luck with your show

hey Nik,
Looking all around solid dude. your posing can use some refining but i'm guessing those were just quick snaps of yourself so... Your physique looks good and thick dude. If you compete tho i bet you'll be in the low 190s to be in great shape. IMO your upper back/trap area needs more thickness - your delts seem to be overpowering your traps at this point on your rear bis shot. could be the washed out thing from the shitty lighting tho. arms are nice and thick - keep hammering tris hard tho. and v-taper looks pretty decent for your conditioning - it will really shape up whence you diet down. Looks solid overall tho brotha. BB rows i don't think you're getting enough scapular contraction and extension. It looks like as you lower the weight your upper body follows instead of letting your scapular region round and extend. Then when you row upwards, your upper body again follows suit by extending backwards and your scapulae are not contracting and pulling back as i think they should. your shoulder blades should be squeezing somewhat (not to a complete peak contraction with heavy rows) back and inward at the top of your row. I dont' mean rounding your upper back at the bottom of the rep - i'm talking about pushing your scapula outwards (like a lat spread) while keeping your chest up at the bottom of the rep, and squeezing them inward and back at the top. IMO scapular ROM is key on all back thickness movements. Keep workin hard amigo.

When I do BB rows, I like to make them as hard as possible, which forces me to use less weight, which lowers my risk of injury. I like to keep my upper body as steady as possible, let my arms "hang" a bit at the bottom, then squeeze my scapula back at the top of the rep. I consider the set done when I start to bob to help the weight up.
On BB curls, I like to go for higher rep ranges (that's just me though) and I quit when my form gets to like yours was on your 3rd rep. I learned that one the hard way... Grinding out cheated positives (even though the negs were somewhat controlled) gave me a strained bicep tendon. Stay safe.

its almost funny how much your legs look like mine.
looks like your lats insert nice and low. Huge potential for growth their. you've got some mean raccoon eyes bro, stress? partying? Ive heard people say that they got much better results from "umphing" the weight up rather than super strict form but ive also heard the opposite. If you really want to get those traps up to snuff do face pulls for one of your back thickness exercises. Because your width is sick.

I don't come in here as much as I should but here is my belated opinion and it might contradict some of the other feedback but that is not to say that the other feedback is wrong. You have some solid feedback in this thread so sift through it and apply what and where you feel you should.
I, personally, liked the rows very much. When I first saw the video I was impressed with the control. In MY opinion, things like rows (tbar, barbell, etc..) need to be explosive and quicker than most other exercises. It is a power move more to me than a "feel the burn" or "stretch and squeeze" type of reps. I like a powerful upward motion and a controlled negative and that is what you have in that set. On top of that, controlling that weight of 275 that well was impressive. Good numbers and even better for someone that is a natty. Could you use more ROM at the top? Maybe. I can't tell in the video because that type of thing is very subtle and very difficult to see while watching a set. I will add that I agree with thenatural in that "finishing" reps while training back usually seperates complete back development from those that struggle with back development. I would also add that there may have been a couple more reps had you used a little momentum in the end. Dangerous? Certainly is more of a gamble than not taking the set further to the point of failure but, then again, sitting on your couch is safer than training in the gym, too. ; ) As for your physique, at your age and being natural, again I am impressed. You have a good deal of muscle and I think peeled you would do very well in a natural show. Love the ink, as well. Skip

Have you ever tried the Yates' style rows with the reverse grip? Me personally, I don't get shit out of overhand rows, but the minute I do them reverse grip it's all back.
Your form looks good to me on the rows. On the BBell curls I'd cut your rep short a few inches to keep constant tension on the biceps. When you "rollover" at the top part people have a tendency to rest the biceps. Keep the tension on the biceps, it make the exercise harder. |

I also prefer the underhand to the overhand grip. You got a good natty build. Just keep training hard and eating right. |
