yes, I like to cook my meat until almost done with no seasoning, put the crock on low, throw in some onions and whatever seasoning and let it simmer for an hour. mmmm.........

More like simmer all day. Crock pot can turn a crummy top loin into a juicy piece of beef that's lean.

I picked up a little baby crock pot for like 6 bucks at target. Ther one I normally use is too large for small servings.
This one is great for cooking black beans, steel cut oatmeal, rice, etc. |

I set my pot on low and throw a roast i it. I add 1 packet of Hidden valley Ranch dry dressing mix and 1 pack of good seasoning italian dressing mix. Do not add water. I cook it for 18 hours and it just falls apart in your mouth. AWESOME!!!

1 - 3 to 4 pound pork roast\loin
1 - jar of sauerkraut 2 - cans of new potatoes I usually put the sauerkraut down first on the bottom as kind of a blanket, then put the pork in, last put the pototoes around the sides of the pork. I do this first thing in the morning, put pot on low...go to work, and then that night it's ready to eat when I get home. I've also used the same recipe but used german sausage in place of the pork... |

Salsa Chicken is good too. Just take salsa and uncooked chicken (Works best if you use boneless pieces) through them in the crock pot then let cook for 4-6 hours.

take a rump roast, season it and brown it either on the grill or in a frying pan, put in crock pot with a couple cups of beef boulion carrots potatos. cook for 4 hours or so serve over egg noodles....oh yea!
you can substitute potatos with sweet potatos. OR ----- fill crock pot half full with water, add 5 split breasts with skin, cook for 1 hour on high, remove chicken - remove bones and skin , run broth trhu collinder, return chicken to broth add carrots and celery serve over egg noodles.... these are 2 easy and awesome recipes you cant screw up.
