Competition shoes

Here are a few sites to get your competition shoes from. Remember, platform shoes are not a good idea.

http://www.snaz75.com/index.html

http://www.dyeabledeals.com/evening-shoes/4052.html

http://www.flirtcatalog.com/store/de...810&ParentID=0

http://www.ebay.com/ (type in clear shoes)

This is the shoe that I have. I wear a size 5, but for shoes like these, they were slightly too big so I had to buy 2 paddings so my feet wouldn't slide through. hehehe....

I heard that this shoe is made slightly smaller or tighter, which I probably needed. I will proabably get these for the USA's and just use the other one to practice in.

I found a site that has everything. It is fitnessprodirect.com. It also has a free book you can download for free. It's all about figure competitions. I haven't ordered from there yet, but there is a large shoe selection.

Ooooohh ~ Thanks! They've got some really cute stuff. I'm glad I got the plainer ones I did for practicing in, but I'm thinking something a little snazzier for a show. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

TAKE NOTE!!!! You'll find that practicing in the shoes you're going to wear on stage is best. Why practice in anything else? I learned the hard way. You'll be more comfortable and "in the zone" if you're used to being in your suit and shoes. It helps with those little butterflies before you get on stage.

Hi Frannyfran! Where's you picture?

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm happy to be here. I'm recently getting used to the forum thing as I'm not a big fan of being on the computer for long periods of time. Boy, they are like time warps sometimes.

To answer you question, there is no specific rule, but there are some standards to stick by. DO NOT wear anything higher than a 1/2 inch in the front of the shoe!!!! High platforms in the front part are a HUGE MISTAKE! This is the most critical thing. Judges will mark you down for this. As for the heal, a 4" or 5" will be best. Anything shorter will not give you full advantage; anything higher will be unstable and destract from your beautiful physique. I wear a 5" heal myself and I usually buy them from Snaz75.com. I have a pair of unworn 8.5 shoes for sale if anyone's interested. I ordered them as a backup and never sent them back.

Practice makes perfect!!!!

I have these and they are very hard to walk in. I wear a size 5 1/2. I can just bring mine to you. I never wore them on stage.... lmk

Hi, I'm really hoping you girls can help me with this... I am 6ft. tall and at my last competition I wore a 3inch heel because I didn't want to tower over everyone, but I think my legs would look better in a 4inch. What do you think should I stick with a 3 or go for a 4. I'm just worried about looking too tall. I know this question might seem silly but I'm really hoping to get some opinions.

Thanks
Sandy

I would definitely go with a 4 incher. It's not like the other girls you are standing with is out of your range. Your legs will look so much more streamlined with a higher heel.

And stay away from platforms.
