Hello Ladies: Introduce yourself please!
I welcome you all to IntenseMuscle Female Forum!
Thought this would be a more personable place for the ladies to introduce themselves other than our Intense Introduction on the main board. (You can post there too so the guys know you're here!) Tell us a little about yourself. How long you've been training, what your goals are, have you competed before, contest history, are you married, kids...anything you want to say. Also including a picture would be nice! ![]() We're glad to have you! Last edited by CindyLauper : 12-04-2006 at 03:28 PM. |

I'm Tracy and I live in Colorado. My husband and I are NPC Judges. We actually took on the position of Chief Judge a couple years ago. It's been alot of fun and we enjoy it very much.
I'm married to my soul mate, Cameron and we have 3 kids; 2 girls and a boy. We also have 3 siamese kittys. I've been training for a while. A total of 13 years? I actually have 2 parts to this. The "first part", I trained for around 9 years, but the first couple years I didn't know what I was doing. I went in the gym and trained my whole body. lol! Then I met someone in the gym who felt I had potential to compete (hahaha!) and he took me under his wing and we trained for a couple years. He showed me "how" to train. The "second part". I took a 6-year lay off from the gym. I got married in '97 and moved to Colorado from Hawaii. I could count on one hand how many times I went to the gym in 6 years. In 2003, we joined a gym, changed my nutrition and here I am! In the "first part" of my training, I competed in 4 bb'ing competitions. "Second part" came out of retirement at the age of 43, 11 years of not competing and competed again this past July '06 in bb'ing and figure. My goal now is to go to Vegas in '07 and compete at the USA's in figure. Last edited by CindyLauper : 11-16-2006 at 04:12 PM. |

Hi Ladies
<--------- For those of you who don't know me...that insano emoticon is me (I have a 2y/o and a 4y/o...need I say more?)My name is Julie and I am 38 y/o. I have never competed. I would like to compete at the Oregon State comp in mid 2007. I pretty much didn't enter a gym until my early 30s and then I just lifted enough weights to get a little definition on my skinny-fat beer and pizza fed body, but not much. I don't feel I gain muscle easily and I'm definately not as strong as some of my favorite IM girls, but there is always hope, right? Right! In 2003 when my first baby was 6 months old, I decided to hit the gym and I have been there ever since - even through the 2nd pregnancy which made me feel quite studly. Unfortunately my size has not grown in the considerable amounts I would have hoped for but I've also thrown in 2 marathons since then. I would love to see female forum of IM flourish! CHEERS for all the ladies 2007 comps!!!! |

Hey Ladies, you all know me. Have been training since my late teens (now in early 20's) have competed in about 4 competitions - I compete in Figure. I recently got sponsored so that will help me with my gains, like training heavy/low volumn, and think it's key to get your nutrition spot on...looking to gain as much size as poss this year - key areas legs and front delts.
Plan on competiting again: when I'm ready as mar said, cheers to all! - Ling

I'm Tami
I've been training for 14 years, off and on, but mostly on. I've always been petite so my goal was to get to 130 lbm from 103. i still have some work to do, but Future is pushing me hard so I'm confident I will reach and surpass that goal.Ok, I (we) have 3 dogs (see the pets thread), a cat and 5 fish. I just got my first GRAND child 4 weeks ago ha ha Stats: 35 years old (36 in a week) 5' 4" 124 lbs (maybe less now that I haven't been eating )16 ish % bf I'm training for the Northern Kentucky in March. It will be my first bb show.....and I'm a little TERRIFIED! lol If I like it, I'll keep competing. If I don't, I'll be happy not doing shows and going to meets with Future to support him. ![]() ....thank you for starting this thread, Tracy! Since I'm fairly new here, it's nice to have an intro. thread! Last edited by ScorpioGirl : 11-16-2006 at 05:17 PM. |

Hello ladies! My name is Julie and I think I was born training. LOL My brother got me started in the gym when I was 13 years old and I have been addicted since. I just turned 30 a couple weeks ago and I have a four year old daughter. I competed in my first comp in 1999. Of course I had to do BBing, as figure didn't exist then. I placed 4th up against some pretty LARGE women. Then in '03 I competed in my first figure competition. I am planning on doing the Jr USA's in April. For those of you that don't know me, that is me in my avi.
I am SO tickled to see everyone back and the new faces as well. I will try my best to get on here and contribute as much as possible during the holidays. |

Hello y'all. I've been a member of another natural bbing/figure board but stumbled over here because of a link posted in a DC thread. I've been devouring everything I can on DC training and am looking forward to pushing myself beyond failure.
From what I've read so far, the characters here seem genuinely supportive. My story: I was athletic in high school, joined the military, got married, finished up my gov't contract, started a family, attended school, and work full time. No wonder people avoid the short version of stories. There's no details. Deep breath, sigh, okay, I'll try to condense the long version. I was an average size girl until I started gaining weight through horrible nutrition and NO exercise. I went from 120lb, 19 years old to 180 lbs at 23 years old. THEN I became pregnant with our first child. After her birth, my weight leveled off at 204lbs. I struggled to lose 25lbs and became pregnant again. By the time I was 30, I had 5 children and my weight stayed @ 200lbs. For two years I continued with my terrible health habits. The story of my actual weight loss is too long but suffice it to say that I am approaching my 4th anniversary of when I began changing my life. I had never attemted free weights until Sept '04. Surprised and pleased with how my body responded, I decided to enter my first bbing competition in Oct'05. I had pretty much self educated myself on training, nutrition, and overall contest prep. It was a small local show but I took 1st in Novice and 2nd in Open Short Class. Despite my lack of posing know-how, the experience was great! Because the diet was the hardest part for me, I soon gained back the 24lbs I had painstakenly worked off my body. I was disappointed at my blatant lack of discipline post-contest and put off competing in '06. I had figured that if I was going to eat high carbs and fats, I might as well try to put on as much size as possible. (What a sorry excuse to stray from a clean diet) I did accomplish gaining some lean muscle while training MaxOT for 6 months. Currently I'm 5'3 (well, that's not bound to change), and 148lbs. I would guesstimate my bf @ 14-16%. When I competed last year, I was 125lbs and 9%bf. My goals: I would like to step on stage, balanced, symmetrical, and full (still learning about all that stuff) at approx 128-130lbs, 7%bf. I am not following a prescribed diet at the moment, just trying to eat better than I did the day before. I am hoping to lose 5lbs by the end of the year, therefore being able to better evaluate the strengths and weaknesses in my physique. Depending on how much work needs to be done will determine whether or not I will attempt the stage in May or Oct. I am thrilled and frighteningly excited about starting the DC program. I've not lurked at all and have done minimal reading thus far so I will reserve my questions until later. One question I will ask now, who are the women on the board that have done DC and have they journaled thier progress? (Okay, so it was a 2-parter) Thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to furthering my fitness education here.
