Hi all,

My name is Loree and I'm currently not a body builder but a track and field competitor. I've been training going on 8 years and this will be my 3rd year professionally. I'm just beginning to learn about nutrition and supplements (drug free though I get tested constantly) and their importants to training, so I'm looking forward to reading and talking with many of you who know way more than I do. I have a lot of experience in strength programs and would love to share what I know about the weightroom and training.

Look forward to getting to know everyone!

I have no kids, but I've been dating a member "Bigpaca" on here going on four years.

My lifts are:
375x1 and 345x3 squat
295x5 ft. squat
195x1 bench
195x1 incline bench
240x1 and 209x3 clean
165x3 snatch

Hi I'm Evian from Scottsdale Arizona. I've been training for 13 years. Like most people i started doing everything wrong by doing all cardio and eating little to no food.

Fast forward to 2007 and I operate a chain of nutritions stores and write nutritional plans for competitors and people who just want to improve their bodies and health.

I have done many figure competitions with highlights including winning my class at the Emerald Cup, the Western Regional, as well as placing runner up in the LA Championships, and Orange County Classic. My BF Dusty has been doing my nutrition for the past four years as well as pushing me in the gym by training me before hitting the weights himself.

Currently I am three weeks out from the NPC Border States in Anaheim Ca. I'll keep you posted on how things are going.

I look forward to talking to all of you.

Evi

Hello y'all. I've been a member of another natural bbing/figure board but stumbled over here because of a link posted in a DC thread. I've been devouring everything I can on DC training and am looking forward to pushing myself beyond failure.

From what I've read so far, the characters here seem genuinely supportive.

My story: I was athletic in high school, joined the military, got married, finished up my gov't contract, started a family, attended school, and work full time. No wonder people avoid the short version of stories. There's no details.

Deep breath, sigh, okay, I'll try to condense the long version.

I was an average size girl until I started gaining weight through horrible nutrition and NO exercise. I went from 120lb, 19 years old to 180 lbs at 23 years old. THEN I became pregnant with our first child. After her birth, my weight leveled off at 204lbs. I struggled to lose 25lbs and became pregnant again. By the time I was 30, I had 5 children and my weight stayed @ 200lbs. For two years I continued with my terrible health habits. The story of my actual weight loss is too long but suffice it to say that I am approaching my 4th anniversary of when I began changing my life.

I had never attemted free weights until Sept '04. Surprised and pleased with how my body responded, I decided to enter my first bbing competition in Oct'05. I had pretty much self educated myself on training, nutrition, and overall contest prep. It was a small local show but I took 1st in Novice and 2nd in Open Short Class. Despite my lack of posing know-how, the experience was great!
Because the diet was the hardest part for me, I soon gained back the 24lbs I had painstakenly worked off my body. I was disappointed at my blatant lack of discipline post-contest and put off competing in '06. I had figured that if I was going to eat high carbs and fats, I might as well try to put on as much size as possible. (What a sorry excuse to stray from a clean diet) I did accomplish gaining some lean muscle while training MaxOT for 6 months.

Currently I'm 5'3 (well, that's not bound to change), and 148lbs. I would guesstimate my bf @ 14-16%. When I competed last year, I was 125lbs and 9%bf.

My goals: I would like to step on stage, balanced, symmetrical, and full (still learning about all that stuff) at approx 128-130lbs, 7%bf.
I am not following a prescribed diet at the moment, just trying to eat better than I did the day before. I am hoping to lose 5lbs by the end of the year, therefore being able to better evaluate the strengths and weaknesses in my physique. Depending on how much work needs to be done will determine whether or not I will attempt the stage in May or Oct.

I am thrilled and frighteningly excited about starting the DC program. I've not lurked at all and have done minimal reading thus far so I will reserve my questions until later.

One question I will ask now, who are the women on the board that have done DC and have they journaled thier progress? (Okay, so it was a 2-parter)

Thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to furthering my fitness education here.
WHAT TYPE OF DIET TO YOU HAVE AND WHAT TYPE OF WORK OUT PLAN DO YOU HAVE?

Hello ladies! I'm Jamie, I'm 20 yrs. old and live in the grand state of Nebraska. My boyfriend Nick (hiyatoe) got me into lifing a little over 2 years ago. Lifting for me has been off and on. Here lately I've been more dedicated. I just started DC this week. I'm excited, it is a lot of hard work, but I'm up for it!!! I have thought about doing a figure competition, but don't know a lot about it. Maybe you ladies could help me out!

Aloha Jaime. I didn't realize you were with Nick. We're glad to have you here.

I think it would be awesome if you decide to compete in figure. You'll never know how much you will enjoy it till you try it. My suggestion to you is find out what shows they have in Nebraska or you could even compete in Colorado. Find a show and decide that is the show you want to compete in and then train for it.

I've been DC'ing for about 2 years or so and love it. I'm still learning stuff, but I have a couple journals here that you could look through. The last one is my latest journal and it may not contain much content in it now as I just got done with my first blast since the USA's and I was just kind of getting warmed up. hahaha....Next blast coming up should be better.

Good luck with your training!

Hi everyone, my name is Sandy and I'm from Southern Michigan. I have been weight training for gulp 14years. I started competing in bodybuilding in 1998 but being 6 feet tall I had a hard time packing on the muscle I needed to be competitive at the National level. So after having my daughter and several more years of training I got the competitive bug again and tried my hand at Figure competitions. Now I'm hooked! I won my height class in my first show and I am planning out my strategy for 2008. I have been married for 9 years to my awesome husband who competes in, and promotes Strongman competitions. And we have 1 beautiful little 5 year old girl who is involved in all of this with us.
