Damn. It is already June. Kind of sent a shiver up my spine. lol

Bodyweight: 199.8

Still feeling very full and tight. I am dropping the carbs just a tad today to about 150g. I will also add in a couple cardio sessions - one on Wednesday and one on Thursday for sure to see if my weight can come down a bit. I would like to be around 197 or so by the weekend. I feel that my weight at 197 last week while on clen was simply from the clen keeping the water off. So, if I can get to 197-198, I am going to be leaner and tighter, for sure. I am not going to push it balls to the wall to get there, though. I will drop my carbs a bit and add some cardio and see how it goes for a few days.

10am
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

TRAIN soleus, chest, front delts

2pm
Meal 2
Postworkout meal
75g of TRUEPROTEIN whey
2 packets of flavored oatmeal
1/4 cup plain oatmeal
blended with ice

4pm
Meal 3
1/2 cup plain oatmeal
10 oz. fish
1.5 tbsp. natural peanut butter

6:30pm
Meal 4
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
1/4 cup plain oatmeal

9pm
Meal 5
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1/4 cup plain oatmeal
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

11:30pm
Meal 6
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
vegetables
franks redhot
(all cooked in wok)

2:30am
meal 7
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

Got harder and harder as the day went on. A little flatter from less carbs over the past couple days but that is to be expected.

I expect to be down a bit in bodyweight, tomorrow.

I usually don't train on Wednesdays but because of the mess at work with me having to redo that training day I missed the other day when they wouldn't let me in after being late, I have to train legs on Saturday so I want to get my ab and detail work done tomorrow as I won't be able to do it on Saturday.

I have also noticed that even though I feel great for being so close to a show, I noticed that my weights have finally fallen off pretty good this week. Everything feels very heavy and my joints are really starting to ache quite a bit. This usually happens around this point before a show but I was surprised this time because I have felt so good during this entire prep. Hell, 95% of the time it hasn't even felt like I am prepping. My energy has been great, sleep has been pretty good, mood has been pretty good, etc.. I guess I will deal with it but it feels like my front delts are going to rip off when I do chest or shoulders. Very uncomfortable. Only a few more weeks of training, though.

Bodyweight: 199.8

I thought I might be down but I was not. Hmmm....

Dropped carbs substantially today, again, to see if I can get some movement. Ended up with about 75g of carbs today as today was not a training day (only ab and detail work) but I did do a 25 minute session on the stairmaster. From the lack of carbs, today, I got harder and harder as they day went on. I really liked my look later in the evening. I anticipate being down just a bit tomorrow but, hell, I thought I would be down today, too. We shall see.

9:30am
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

TRAINED abs and did detail work

came home and did stairmaster for 25 minutes

1pm
Meal 2
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
1/4 cup oats

3:30pm
Meal 3
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
5/8 cup plain oatmeal
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

6pm
Meal 4
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
1/4 cup oats

8:30pm
Meal 5
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

11pm
Meal 6
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
very few vegetables
franks redhot
(cooked in wok)

2am
Meal 7
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

I have been throwing the idea of pulling a protein drink or two out of my daily plan but to be honest, I am not comfortable with it. It seems to work very well and it always has so I am going to keep them in at least for the time being. I am known to change my mind at the drop of a hat but I really think I am going to leave them in for a while.

Even though I am using my bodyweight as a reference in my posts, I am paying much more attention to my condition and kind of letting the numbers do what they want to. I am still using the numbers as a guage but I am not living and dying by them, either. As an example, if all of a sudden I drop 4 pounds, I will be forced to take a closer look at my condition. I know I am getting more comfortable with this approach because I was not at all bothered by the fact that my bodyweight hasn't fallen in a couple days.

I plan to stay low on carbs tomorrow, also, and possibly jump up on Friday for a day. I will just have to see what I look like during the day tomorrow and Friday morning.

Friday 6.4.04

Friday
6.4.04

Bodyweight: 199.7

I am getting flatter as the week goes on with lower carbs but the weight is holding. I appear leaner but the weight hasn't moved yet. I am just going to stay low and re-evaluate by the beginning of next week.

Today is the long day for me so I figured I would take in about 120g of carbs or so. Most all of them will be in the first 2 meals with only trace carbs the rest of the day.

10am
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

TRAINED - side delts, tris and bis

NO cardio today due to the long day and having to train legs a day early on Sunday.

1:45pm
Meal 2
Postworkout meal
75g of TRUEPROTEIN whey
2 packets of flavored oatmeal
1/4 cup plain oatmeal
blended with ice

3:45pm
Meal 3
8 oz. 96% lean ground beef
4 egg whites
franks redhot
1/2 cup plain oats

NAPPED from 4pm - 7pm

8pm
Meal 4
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
(small amount of vegetables)

11pm
Meal 5
8 oz. 96% lean ground beef
4 egg whites
(small amount of vegetables)
franks redhot
(cooked in wok)

2am
Meal 6
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

5am
Meal 7
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
(small amount of vegetables)

8am
Meal 8
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

I will keep the carbs low tomorrow, also. Probably only in the 50g area. Depending on my weight on Sunday before training, I may go up for 1 day with carbs around 200g or so but it is too hard to tell right now. If my bodyweight doesn't move, I will stay low and probably low through next week, too, before going high again.

Next week is going to suck. lol I am really starting to feel precontest now. Only 3 weeks to go, though. I have a feeling I will probably only go with 1/2 the normal clen dose when I start it back up in a week. Otherwise, I run the risk of dropping a bunch of weight again. My pattern is that my body wants to drop a bunch of weight while on the clen for 2 weeks even though I cut all cardio and bump the carbs through the roof. Then, on my clen off weeks, I have to drop my carbs very low for extended periods of time and add in cardio and my weight barely moves. Remember, I am new to using clen in this fashion because I have always used it with ketotifen so I run it damned near my entire prep phase - and my prep phases aren't short.

Saturday 6.5.04

Saturday
6.5.04

Bodyweight unknown as I didn't train today due to the weird schedule for the next couple days. I will weigh myself tomorrow when I train legs a day early and on only 4 hours of sleep. *sigh*

If I am not down in weight, I will be shocked. I was hella tight both before bed this morning and then again when I woke up.

Kept carbs very low today - about 50g or so. I am really hoping to be down a bit in bodyweight tomorrow so that I can bump carbs for my leg day to about 300g or so but I just won't know until tomorrow.

Woke at 3pm

4:30pm
Meal 1
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
(few vegetables)
1/8 cup oats

7:30pm
Meal 2
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1/8 cup oats
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

10:30pm
Meal 3
8 oz. 96% lean ground beef
4 egg whites
(few vegetables)
1/8 cup oats

1:30am
Meal 4
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1/8 cup oats
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

4:30am
Meal 5
8 oz. 96% lean ground beef
4 egg whites
(few vegetables)
1/8 cup oats

7:30am
Meal 6
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

Check weight tomorrow at the gym and see if I am still going low carbs or if I can bump for the day.

Tomorrow is 3 weeks out.

Sunday 6.6.04

Sunday
6.6.04

Bodyweight: 197.1

I feel great about both my weight and my condition today. I know the numbers don't matter BUT after going lower carbs longer than any other time in this prep, it is nice to see me responding positively.

I will get extra carbs today but I will only get 4-5 meals in because of getting up late and going to bed earlier due to that damned training on Monday morning. It should work well as I don't want a ton of carbs to start the week, anyway. Just enough to fill out a bit and bump the metabolism a bit.

2pm
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

3pm
TRAINED calves, quads and hams

5:30pm
Meal 2
Postworkout meal
75g of TRUEPROTEIN whey
3 packets of flavored oatmeal
blended with ice

7:30pm
Meal 3
8 oz. 96% lean ground beef
few vegetables
1 cup oatmeal
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

10pm
Meal 4
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
1/2 cup oatmeal

12:30am
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

Ended up with about 190g carbs or so. Looked great before bed.

I will go back to lower carbs tomorrow as I don't train or do cardio but I will have a longer day than usual due to having to be up so early. Carbs will probably end up in the 60-70g area.

Gonna shoot for 196 by the weekend - only 1 pound.

Bodyweight is unknown as I did not train or do cardio today.

Let me just add a quick note about the last 24 hours. I don't want to complain but it truly sucked. My frame of mind is in pretty good shape considering but it was nightmarish from a 3 week out standpoint.

First, I could NOT get to sleep last night. Fell in about 1am figuring I would have to be up at 7am to get to that damned class I had all day. 2am, 3am, wide awake. 4am got up and got on the computer for a bit. Finally started to nod off around 5am and basically nodded on and off, looking at the clock every 10 minutes until 7am. EXHAUSTED when I got up at 7. Got everything around and noticed I was fucking starving. I am NEVER starving. In fact, I have probably only been HUNGRY twice in the last 17 weeks of my 20 week prep. I knew, at this point, that the day was going to be hell.

Some of you may know that I had to go to this training because I was late for the other one and they woudn't let me in. If you don't get the training done, you cannot work until you do. This was the last training until August. Left with plenty of time but traffic was fucked up - backed up forever. I sat there with blood boiling, inching through traffic and just watching the clock. I started to figure that I probably wasn't going to be working for a couple months. (which in hindsight really didn't sound too bad lol).

Eventually, traffic broke and I got to the training on time.

Low carbs today so I was hungry within about an hour or two of eating. Dog tired. During lunch break, I pulled a mat out and napped for 1.25 hours, drooling on my hand and snoring. I was hardly in the mood to have everything laugh about it as they came back in after lunch before I had woke. I laugh now but I was "low carb, precontest" pissed at the time.

I seem to have gotten my second wind tonight but will be falling in early for some extra Zs.

I think I will be down a bit tomorrow as I was flat as hell by the end of today. I am actually hoping for this so that I can get my carbs up a bit for a couple days instead of only one day.

7:30am
Meal 1
8 oz. 96% lean ground beef
4 egg whites
few vegetables
franks redhot
(all cooked in wok)
1/8 cup oats

10:30am
Meal 2
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1/8 cup oats
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

1:30pm
Meal 3
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
1/8 cup oats

4:30pm
Meal 4
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1/8 cup oats
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

7:30pm
Meal 5
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
few vegetables
franks redhot
(all cooked in wok)
1/8 cup oats

10:30pm
Meal 6
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

Only about 55g of carbs today, total.

Bodyweight: 196.5

I felt I would be right about there after yesterdays ordeal and I feel pretty damned good after finally sleeping like a baby last night. Got up earlier than usual and got to the gym earlier than usual, too. Felt good.

Gonna go higher carbs today, too, because I do not want to be below 196 by the weekend. Looks like about 225-230g carbs for the day.

8:30am
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

9:30am
TRAINED soleus, chest, front delts

11:30am

blended with ice

1:30pm
Meal 3
1 cup oatmeal
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

vegetables
franks redhot
(all cooked in wok)

12:45am
Meal 7
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

Was looking my best ever before I went to bed tonight. Very dry, tight, full and hard. I was very pleased with my condition. Even my wife was surprised by how tight I was. That doesn't happen all too often.

Will go by the scale tomorrow and see what I will do for the day. If I am the same, I will probably go with another higher carb day.

Feel and look pretty good today. I will keep the carbs very low to get back down and I don't train other than detail work and some cardio so the carbs aren't needed anyway.

I should be around 50-55g of carbs today.

10am
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

11am
Did detail work at the gym and weighed myself

12:30pm
CARDIO when I arrived at home. I cannot do cardio at the gym after doing detail work because after doing lower back work, I can't use the stairmaster until the blood leaves my lower back or I wouldn't last longer than about 2 minutes for cardio.

1:15pm
Meal 2

Went with about 100g of carbs today due to training and cardio.

Okay, pretty much the same weight as I was when I stopped the clen a couple weeks ago. I figure this: clen takes water off of me quickly and keeps it off while I am on it for 2 weeks. I figure without being on it and getting back to the same weight, I have to be leaner at this weight while NOT on the clen than I was at this weight ON the clen. How is that for logic? And I am low carbing. Impressed? : )

Anywho, I am pleased with where I am right now.

Stayed low on the carbs today and the day will be long because of work so I anticipate being down a bit tomorrow.

Total carbs for the day were around 105g.

Will probably just stay low even if weight is down a bit. I have a feeling that if I bump up even slightly, it is going to take another 3-4 days to get back down again.

Bodyweight: 195.2

Pretty low but I figured this because my Fridays are so damned long. I feel pretty flat but not as flat as I would have thought with my weight this low. I am actually pretty pleased with the drop. I will take my carbs up only slightly today to make damned sure that I don't go down anymore this weekend. I don't train today or do any cardio so I am looking at about 10g of carbs for the first 5 meals or so for a total of about 50-55g of carbs today. I also started a new supp that I have never used before, yesterday, so this could have impacted my weight, also.

By about 3am I was looking pretty damned freaky. It was weird but I was vascular as all hell and dry as a bone. I am sure that the new supplementation is playing a large part of this but it is cool, none the less. I couldn't stop checking my quads. lol

Looks like I will probably keep everything constant tomorrow and aim for about 50g of carbs again. I will see how I feel when I get up. I think I am also going to drop at least the one protein drink in the middle of the day on my training days for solid food and just keep the postworkout drink and the one before bed. I don't think it will matter BUT I really want to see if by dropping one of these, I notice any obvious changes in my condition. It is more an experiment than anything. I feel I could continue doing exactly what I am doing right now and it would continue to work beautifully. Yes, I am fixing something that isn't broke, thus, breaking one of my golden rules. You never know, maybe I will change my mind and leave it in. LoL

Bodyweight is unknown because I didn't train today.

Feel pretty good and I like how everything is going right now. I seem to be in a much more comfortable state of mind the past couple days for some reason. I don't know if it is the change in supplementation and/or that I have everything pretty much done and taken care of for the show at this point after securing accomodations for the show a couple days ago. The only thing left to do is go shopping for something cool to wear the day of the show. I also figured I might get my wife something cool, too, and surprise her as she has been uncharacteristically supportive lately. I don't understand it but I won't argue, either. lol I have been quite irritable and she has been very calm and level - which, again, is just plain weird. She is over 6 months pregnant so I am sure she will like something nice to wear to the show because as you get big like that in your pregnancy, you become a bit limited in what you can wear. A little ass kissing on my part, won't hurt too much. ; )

I spent several hours last night mapping out the last week, right down to each meal and supplement schedule. Though there are always room for changes and adjustments, I always feel much better with a very well thought out plan that is written down.

I think I still wouldn't mind losing another pound or two this week. I don't know what I would look like being down another couple pounds as I haven't been this lean and tight in years. Last time I was this tight was about 15 years ago and I weighed about 155 as a lightweight. : ) I think I was 19. I guess I am just a bit curious to see just how tight I can get and where the line is between being tight and being too tight and losing size. I am pushing the envelope on that, for me, right now. It has kept things interesting, though. lol

Kept the carbs very low today as I had to go with meals every 2.5 hours on Sundays to get them all in. I think I got about 20g of carbs today. Didn't feel like it as I wasn't hungry at all eating every 2.5 hours. Didn't seem terribly flat, either. I might be tomorrow morning, though.

I am still sticking to my plan to drop at least the mid day protein drink, consistently, to see if there might be any change. I really doubt it and I should probably leave it in there but for some reason I just feel like dropping one of them.

I am excited to see what this week holds.

Bodyweight: 194.2 wtf??

I couldn't believe it. I mean, I knew I felt tight and all but that shouldn't have happened. I apparently ended up way too low on carbs yesterday. Surprising considering I was very full all day yesterday eating every 2.5 hours. I will have to bring the carbs up today, for leg day, for sure or I will be down again and that would not be cool.

I am shooting for about 150g of carbs today.

11am
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

12pm
TRAINED calves, quads, hams

2:30pm
Meal 2
Postworkout Meal
75g of TRUEPROTEIN whey
2 packets of flavored oatmeal
1/4 cup plain oats
blended with ice

4:30pm
Meal 3
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
franks redhot
1/2 cup oatmeal

7pm
Meal 4
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
(few vegetables)
1/4 cup oats

9:30pm
Meal 5
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1/4 cup oats
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

12am
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
(few vegetables)
franks redhot

Meal 7
2:30am
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

Yes, I know, I didn't drop the protein shake. I just couldn't do it. It is working right now and working well so I am not going to change a thing.

I seemed to fill out a tad by the end of the night so hopefully my bodyweight will be stabilized tomorrow morning.

6.15.04

Bodyweight: 195

I am going to stay a bit lower today on carbs to see if I can go right back down closer to 194 or not. I would rather not do cardio this week, coming into the last week of training, depleting, etc.. So, I would much prefer to keep my carbs lower instead of kicking out the extra workload/energy.

Most all of my carbs will be in the first 2 meals after training.

9am
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

10am
TRAINED soleus, chest, front delts

12:30pm
Meal 2
Postworkout Meal
75g of TRUEPROTEIN whey
2 packets of flavored oatmeal
blended with ice

2:30pm
Meal 3
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
franks redhot
1/4 cup oats

5pm
Meal 4
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry
few vegetables

7:30pm
Meal 5
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

10pm
Meal 6
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
few vegetables
franks redhot

12:30am
75g TEAMSKIP blend TRUEPROTEIN
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

Tried to get my meals done earlier and was hoping to get to bed early but simply could not sleep so I got back up around 2am and did computer work. I had an extra tablespoon of peanut butter at about 3am and then went to bed.

I was revenously hungry today after about 6pm. I am sure it didn't help that my boy turned 4 today and there was ice cream and cake all over the place but usually this sort of thing I am used to being around because I have 3 kids. I have to rummage around garbage food in the fridge, cabinets, pantry, etc., on a daily basis but today I was just plain starving. I am sure I will be light again tomorrow morning.

Thursday 6.17.04

Thursday
6.17.04

Bodyweight: 196.5

I had a feeling something was up later in the day, yesterday. I seemed very smoothed over and felt pretty "sloppy". I was pushing the water as usual so that wasn't the problem. As you can see from my food entries, everything has been constant in that regard, also.

I really don't know what the deal was other than that I had about 50g of carbs without training or cardio but I do that all the time so that doesn't make sense. I suppose that I cannot rule out a new supplement that I started last week that COULD be causing the problem but it should not be. If it is, I will definately have to get off of it asap as with this compound, it will only get worse. I just really doubt it. I am keeping tabs on my condition today and tomorrow and I am going low carbs for both days. Of course, my Fridays are long as I have complained about before so if I go low carbs today and tomorrow, something will be very wrong with me if I am not down to at least 194 again by Saturday when I weigh myself or even less than 194. From there, I will have to figure out the problem real quick as I will then be one week out.

So, low carbs today and low carbs tomorrow.

9am
Meal 1
5 eggs (1 yolk)
coffee

10am
TRAINED - back, rear delts, traps

12noon
Meal 2
Postworkout Meal
75g TRUEPROTEIN whey
2 packets of flavored oatmeal
blended with ice

2pm
Meal 3
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
vegetables
franks redhot

5pm
Meal 4
TEAMSKIP Stir Fry

8pm
Meal 5
75g TRUEPROTEIN TEAMSKIP Blend
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

11pm
Meal 6
10 oz. 96% lean ground beef
vegetables
franks redhot

2am
Meal 7
75g TRUEPROTEIN TEAMSKIP Blend
1 tbsp. natural peanut butter

Except for trace amounts of carbs in vegetables and peanut butter, all carbs were postworkout.
