Great thread and info guys, tip o the hat...
I'm on about day 4 or so (had a 'false start' while waiting for all the stuff to show up with regular Metamucil). Anyway, one question... I see the importance of the charcoal for soaking up the chems released by chopping the stuck crap off your colon. No problem there. I just wonder if the charcoal also does its thing to supps you are taking. Anybody know if we might be throwing money down the drain (literally) if the charcoal is taken near to the time when other supps, vitamins, enzymes? Would it be smart to take other supps in the middle of the day, directly between the two Heckman stacks?

I started doing this last night. What I had this morning wasn't so much a "peanut and corn explosion" as it was a red and green pepper combustion.
This was probably the fastest trip to the bathroom I've had in months. I was in and out in about 30 seconds. If the process only gets better from here, then I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for your wealth of information, guys! |

I think my time has come...again. I'm gonna go high fiber(starting at 1-1.5TBSP) straight through to compare results. For those who don't already know, I fell victim to what has become commonly known around here as "lava ass" about 1 week into the flush while the fiber remained in the 1-2TSP. range. The herbals and charcoal never strayed from the recommended dosages and I will keep those the same this time as well. I'll post my experience to possibly remedy or save anyone from the hassle that is sneezing out of your butt 15 times in one day.

That said, I would do the husk only for the first week at 1 tspn morning and 1 tspn evening. If all goes well after the first week, then work the tabs in. That way you can eliminate it being one or the other as the cause. Make sure you are drinking enough water after you take the fiber too.. Better luck this time :-)

It is possible that my fiber is not the same. Because like said before, my fiber recommends 1 tbsp per dose at 3 recommended doses a day. I remember starting at 1 tbsp. morning and night until i saw that the flush recommends the fiber in TSPs. Everything was money until i dropped back to tsp dosages. I'll still give it a shot how you say though since you're the man in all of this. Then I'll introduce the tabs

Have any of you guys used the Husk in the powder form? I am having trouble finding the whole husks around where I live. But, if the whoel husks are the way to go then I will just order them online. Vitamin World is the only place around that I have come across anythung other than pill form, and they have the powder. So, I was just curious as to what you might have heard.
thanks |

Thanks for such a quick response Heckman.
On another note, I have been having some really bad pains in my abdomen. I did a GI study one day at work, and it showed that I had some emlarged Duodenal folds, which the DR said looked like doudenitis. I am going for a test Monday to find out if I have H. pylori. Before I journey down this road of cleansing, I have to make sure that everything will work out ok, or I will have to put it off a few weeks if I find out I have h. pylori. I will then have to take a treatment for theis that lasts about 2-4 weeks. Has anyone had any experience with this? |

Have you been using alot aspirin by chance? This can cause that problem..It could also be an ulcer...which will have similar syptoms...
Are you having an endoscopy?

No endoscopy as of yet. I work in xray and got one of the radiologist to do an upper GI on me last sunday, he saw no signs of an ulcer. I also did an ultrasound on my gallbladder, after 10 hours it was still slightly contracted, but that would require a nuc med scan to dtermine more on that, but she saw no gallstones. there are several different things that show some of the same properties as what I have going on. Hopefully, it isn't H. pylori, but I also hope I don't have to go to GI dr and have a scope. I have seen how those are, and I am not a fan at all. I have taking Prilosec in the mornings and drinking Bizmuth, but nothing positive as of yet. The ER doc told me to do this to keep the acids down and give my intestines time to heal up. Depending on how my test goes Monday dtermines whether or not I go to a GI dr.

Also, no aspirins, I am not a big medicine taker, especially pill/tab type.

Are you not having an endoscopy by choice, or are the docs just jerking you around with other tests? And, like it or not, the old tube up the butt is going to yield to best diagnosis.
An endoscopy will show exactly what and where the problem is. Have them knock you out and get it done...Good luck..

Hey Guys!
Finished my first cycle with awesome results. Cleared the system well and dropped about 6 lbs of useless weight. Now, in the post cycle, I'm trying the one tablespoon of husks a day 'to keep things running smoothly', but the effect seems to be the opposite (binding me up). I'm getting lots of water. I miss those giant, easy, craps :-) Would a low-level flush be appropriate as maintenance... maybe 2 herbal tabs, 1 charcoal and a tablespoon of husks once a day? I figure there is little harm in kicking the system into gear like that, but didn't know if anybody had experience with downsides of doing that... or if there might be something else I'm missing when it comes to post-cycle "operations" ;-)

Wouldn't hurt at all..In fact I've been doing that very same thing over 10 years now. I use the husk and a couple tabs every night...You can drop the charcoal while doing this. The charcoal comes in handy while you are doing the twice a day cleanse and upping the herbal tabs.

The only test I am having done is the H. Pylori test. i did that upper GI "under the table" when the radiologist finished reading his xrays that morning. The tube up the butt is basically out of the question right now. The endoscopy will be done by mouth in order to get to the duodenum. Those are some of the perks to working in the medical field, when you get on the dr's good side, they tend to help you out a little. Nothing has been charged yet, so I can't complain.
