I didn't get to see the game (didn't get the nfl package this year). Did they at least play well (bears that is )

Solid leg workout too. Sumos and hacks look solid!

and you ask if you need to step up the intensity, a true DC trainee wouldn't need to ask himself that question, he would already be training with full intensity, this isn't a program for "a pretty high intensity", it's for a kick in the balls intensity where you always try to get that extra rep - Equill

Gylder-

played great the first half...they were up 17-3 then let the Panthers reel off 20 un-answered points. Offense just did not get it done second half.

Had chest on the agenda last nite and prior to my workout i took some NO-splode, CGT,Threshold with some sea salt and glycerol.

SMITH INCLINE TRIPLE-DROPS
275x7/225x6/135x10+5-6 xreps

235x10/185x8/135x12 collar-to-colar grip

Used looser and more explosive form with the 275/225....felt heavy but good. Second set was much more controlled and slower. Felt pretty crushed after just two sets.

FLAT FLYS
40x12
40x10

slight pause at the bottom...pump was starting to get crazy!

HS WIDE CHEST
225x18
245x16
265x12

DIPS
1x10 (bodyweight)

awesome work-out, but i could feel my elbow bothering me just bit on the midrange of the flys....im trying to use up all the supps i have laying around the house before i buy more so i had 2 scoops musclemilk + some CGT for my PWN. Not exactly ideal but not a deal breaker either. Because last nights workout was more "weight" oriented tonights workout for shoulders/triceps is gonna be all about BLOOD. Laterals, wide grip upright rows drop-sets and tri-sets. Yah Buddaaaay!

BTW ...The Monday night game was one of the BEST games i have seen in a really long time! Seems like the balance of power has shifted form the AFC to the NFC with the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants and as much as i hate to say it: the Pack

Truce, sounds like I missed a good half of the games LOL. I agree with last nights game, was really good. I caught half of the denver game on Sunday too, that was great too.

Question about the Glycerol. I went to our pharmacy, and they have it, but its like a topical liquid thats for skin problems. Is this the same stuff?

I asked them if they had something in a supplement line, but they looked at me like I was nuts. Told them I wanted to mix it in my workout drink lol. So I am guessing its not the right stuff.

Where did you pick yours up?

wake-

yah youve been pretty busy lately...i hurt my elbow pretty bad a few weeks back. I dropped out of the bench press meet because of it. I saw a doctor and ended up taking 10 off from weight-training.

I had gone 435x1 two weeks in a row in the bench and it just aggravated it big time.

Thats a great recipe--sounds quick, easy, and tasty. Thanks for sharing it, bro. I need to move to Hawaii so I can watch all these games and still get things done, having the rest of the day to TCB.

Bren-
CGT-10 is ON's creatine,glutamine, taurine mix..good stuff.

slide-i had it again today except i added another eggwhite but yah its prettyd damn good. I could see cooking up a bunch on a sunday then having for breakfast mon, tue, wed. Much as i DONT like getting up at 6am to watcha game, i love having the rest of the sunday to do whatever i want. I had many years where i would watch all three NFL games (early, late, then the sunday nite game) i wouldnt do that now even if i could. Well maybe some sundays if its a awesome double-header and i def. watch ALL of the play-off games.

But im always sad/glad when football is over, bummed cuz i miss it but glad cuz it frees up my sunday to sleep in or go out to a nice breakfast go to the beach etc.

Last nights workout was pretty awesome....My quads are still sore from saturday, my chest is sore from monday and i blasted the bejesus outta my delts/tri's last night.

SIDE LATERAL/WIDE-GRIP UPRIGHT ROW
30's x20/65x14
30's x18/65x12
30's x 17 (drop) 20's x10/65x8

delts were blown up like ballons after these three...

STANDING MILITARY
95x8
95x8
95x8/85x5/65x8

did these with very little "push", strict and slow

CYBEX TRICEP EXTENSIONS (triple drops)
90x15/80x10/70x8

110x10/90x8/80x8

ONE-ARM PUSHDOWN
40x11
40x11
30x12

i skipped rear delts and traps but will hit them with back on thursday...i didnt actually skip them i just forgot.I love these kind of workouts but i know that eventually i will have to get back to progressive overload and my should workout will consist of just one exercise.

Tonight ive got calves and cardion on the agenda and maybe just maybe biceps.

Looking at your supps, do you use BCAA's at all truce?

Yo B-
whats up man? hey im in the same boat as you....trying to learn as much as possible and get my act together so i can have one more season in '09.

G-Beef,
im getting married in just about 2 weeks so im in the process of using up all of the supps that are laying around my house. Not an optimum supplement program but $$$ are at a premium right now........... so that means:

1) Muscle Milk: (not my favorite by any stretch but i can get it for about $17)
2) CGT-10: ON's creatine/glutamine/taurine mix
3) Threshhold-ON's beta-alanine supp
4) No-Splode

I also use a lil glycerol/seasalt with #'s 2,3,4 as my pre-workout shake

soooo no, no BCAA's at this time....although i am a huge believer in them ESPECIALLY for anybody who is dieting. I dont use any TP products...i have in the past but the shipping to hawaii is ridiculous. Just doesnt make sense for me to use it even though i think thier products are top-notch.

That shoulder looks insane. LOL damn your shoulders must have looking like bowling balls after the upright rows. These pump type workouts look like a lot of fun I have to say, and I can imagine the soreness is just crazy.

Is the Ulta-wide grip upright row/lateral done with dumbells? Or is it a superset? I'm confused.

IB-
its a superset....side laterals with dumbells to failure then wide grip upright rows with a barbell, no rest between the two...

Tonight was technically supposed to be a abs or calves/cardio nite but i skipped biceps last night so it became a calves/bi's cardio nite....

CALVES
Seated Calf Raise
2x20:90

slow up, squeeze at the top, 10 second negative

Donkey Calf Raise
220x15
220x15

After each set i went right into standing calf raise (no weight) for about 25 reps...

BICEPS
Hammer Curls
75x6
75x6/55x6/40x8

hammers got the call today because my elbow is still bothering me...i could feel it warming up with DB curls, the hammers caused no pain. None of these sets was to failure just pretty close. Also my form with the 75's was pretty damm strict, very little swing.

Standing Cable Curls (EZ bar)
100x12
100x12/80x8/60x8

arms were very pumped....

CARDIO
20 minutes on the upright bike while i read Flex magazine.....

In retrospect i probably should have skipped the gym, for a "little" workout i did quite a few sets and trained pretty hard. Sleep and calories i guess to counteract that right?

Chris-

nothings wrong with chicago....i pretty much lived my whole life in the Windy City. And i try to get back every chance i can to see my family. The 10 hour flight isnt any fun though....Honestly i just came out here to come out here....it was supposed to be for two years tops then i figured i would move back to the midwest. Professionally things really clicked for me here and i fe in love with the place.

The only reason i would move back to the mainland is A) great job opportunity B) much more likely: real estate costs. Property in Hawai'i is crazy, the average home price is about 630K. A very small condo (2BR) is right about 300-320K....makes me crazy wheni look at the home prices in say Texas.

Feeling prettty good today...eating has been awesome all week, will hit back, r. delts and traps tonight tommorrow will be just cardio and legs saturday morning.

Trucelt..Ive been looking at Texas for the past year. For what I paid (DC area) for my house a few years ago, I could have something much bigger, with more land, pool, golf course, etc. Will keep working on that though...next 3-5 years.

got to the gym tonight and saw a guy i knew whos like 7 weeks out from the Paradise Cup and he asked me if could train with him tonight (hes tired low carb) so i said sure...
so what i had planned for back went right out the window. No worries

FRONT PULLDOWNS
220x8
270x6

havent gone to 270 in awhile form was good and rep speed was pretty slow...

SUPPORTED T-BAR
160x10
160x10

again went pretty strict with this...

PARAMOUNT ROTARY PULLDOWN
160x12
200x10

i NEVER do this machine but its not bad,,,,nothing to build a ton of size.

STIFF-ARM PULLDOW
3x10-12

BB SHRUGS
235x12
235x12

more of a BS pump workout but i trained hard and it was probably a good idea that i didnt go balls out.......

The guy i trained with is a natty doing a non-tested show and he was asking for advice esp about the off-season. Hes tall maybe 6-1 or 6-2 with big chest, huge arms but no real size (small legs small back doest project BIG GUY) then he tells me he doesnt squat, deadlift, bb row or really any overhead pressing.....hmmmm

was debating whether to train tonight or train tommorrow, decided i wanted saturday AND sunday off, plus were going to Outback tonite with my soon to be father-in-law.

BOX SQUAT
275x12
225x17
135x25

275 is a post surgery PR...but im not super happy with it. After doing a few sets of 5 with 315 and a few sets off 225 for 20 i was hoping for 15. Having said that my form was flawless...all reps were slow and smooth. 225 felt was okay but i ran out of breath...i need better GPP

LEG CURLS
5-6x8

just started doing sets of 8 and added weight till i couldnt get 8...not
