No, no fish oil atm, tried taking calcium and magnesium and had a build up of inflamation in my shoulder from it. Just eating lots of proteins and icing it. It seems damn good though, last few days it hasn't bothered me at all, except for my left shoulder. Finally got an MRI/arthrogram scheduled for the 15th for my left so we shall see then if i truly do need another surgery. Hopin for the best but it feels the same as my right when i tore it so.

Surgery was a success, just as i thought had a torn labrum, bursitis, and had my shoulder capsule tightened. Even though it hurts like hell im glad i didnt have it done in vain. Thanks for the continued support guys, i look forward to sharing my progress in the near future.

Great, shoulder capsule still healing so doc hasn't given me permission to start PT yet but stiches are out and the incisions are healed up nicely. I think im gunna start a light routine soon, i wanna take it slow, apparently 6 months is the heal time and i can still kinda tell in the tenderness in my right shoulder.

Started the final round of PT today, hopefully soon i can get back into some sort of gym routine. I'm pysched, and bummed too had some sort of popping and pain in my right shoulder the other day but it seems to be going away, finally though I can start to get back into the swing of things.

Its been awhile but everything is going on pace nicely. After having my set back with the popping in my right it seems to have healed and I just finished PT on friday. I started taking fish oil, and some gnc formulated joint/cartilage stuff. It seemed to noticably help so i think im gunna continue taking it for awhile. Im 7 months out on my right shoulder and 3 on my left and having days where i feel great and days where im sore but i think that stems from doing some light bicep work. Everythings going great for the most part and i couldn't of been happier with my progress so far even after my few set backs. Hopefully my ortho will allow me to return to the gym on the 1st and i can start doin squats and maybe deads and work my way into the free weights again. I was allowed to do the bar on flat bench at pt and it felt like it all held together but i think im gunna lay off any flat presses for at least another 6 months depending on how i feel. Just givin you guys an update and hopefully in time i can start getting some real progress under way.

Back in the gym, things are holding together but i definately gotta get used to the slag again. Startin everything from the ground up and putting alot of attention on my scaps, lats, traps. Definately still have sore shoulder joints, but its a good sore so far. Thanks for the encouragment guys, all your info has helped me a ton. Ill probably post up pictures in a few months of my progress. Hopefully ill be going from 185 to 210. Time will tell.

Yey for you!
Your chances of developing some type of surgery related infection is soOo great.. I'm so happy you came through this in the fashion you have. The hard part is holding yourself back so you allow proper healing.. Are you keeping a journal by chance? |

Heres my progress pictures. The first set is of me post shoulder troubles, I think i was around 189 and was huge on chest exercises/back exercises even though from my back shot you can tell i seriously lacked any middle back muscle at all. The second set is from probably 3 months post op when i barely weighed 180. These newest ones are from today, weighing in at 204. I try to be pretty quiet on the boards and read and take in what i can. I'm pretty much training right now in the principle that heavy training/large eating=gaining weight=size. So my diet would probably make some of you guys cringe lol. I know my posing sucks, so i tried to do as close as i could in the 3 months post op to the present pictures for comparison. Here goes...
