How to find BMR
Hey everyone im new to the posting thing just had a question about cals. Im
getting some conflicting info about how to find the amout of cals i should be taking in on a diet for maintenance. Ive found quit a few Formulas and quite a few calculators but they all vary greatly. please help me out. heres my stats HT- 5' 11" WT- 270 BF-20% WORKOUT- IS 4 on 2off each but i also do PT like running or calestenics 3 times a week never on my off days from the gym. |

66 + (6.3 x body weight in lbs.) + (12.9 x height in inches) - (6.8 x age in years)
That is the formula used by most. So for Example, I'll use myself 66 + (6.3 x 260) + (12.9 x 74) - (6.8 x 26)= 66 + 1638 + 954.6 - 176.8 = 2,481.8 kcals / day Now depending on my activity level for the day this number will be higher, but this will help you get your BMR.
