good workout GS. just out of interest what can you lift raw in all your lifts for singles?

I have no clue man. I also like to joke around. Here is the deal, I compete in powerlifting with gear on. My training revolves around hitting a max single in each lift on the platform. And of course the goal is to keep increasing these numbers and setting PR's. So I do what I need to do to get my max singles with gear on to go up. If these means my raw bench goes down, I dont care. I dont compete raw, if my shirted bench goes up, thats good.

I dont do max singles raw. For me they are not worth it in my training scheme. For some people they work really well and will help improve someones lifts with gear on. Everyone must do what works for them. Now when I am not training for a meet, I use little or no gear. But when doing this raw work, I work reps and try to increase in that sense, I dont take max singles. Also when training for meets I am doing lots of max effort work. So when not training for meets, I give the body a little break from taking max singles.

If you put some weights on the side of the bar your DL might go up thanks to the decreased ROM.

seriously though - as Chris says, you will get a decreased ROM if you put some weight on that deadlift bar LOL

I used the monolift in true mono fashion today. No one was there to operate it so I unhooked it and leaned forward a bit to re-rack.

box squats, with frantz briefs

225x2x4, with light bands
225x2x4, with 2 sets light bands per side

glute ham/abs superset
sled

nice workout, what are powershrugs? are they like normal shrugs but with a bit of dipping with the knees?

also do you train to failure or just short?

Its a shrug from the pins, and you use decent leg drive. I set the bar back on the pins for each rep.

For assistance work, I dont train anywhere near failure. I may do the occasional burnout set.
